Automated Proposal Solution Addresses Sponsored Funding Competitiveness and Efficiency at UT Research Institutions

Portland, Oregon: Cayuse, Inc., a provider of grant proposal solutions for educational and research enterprises, is pleased to announce that the University of Texas System (UT System) has entered into an agreement that authorizes the implementation of Cayuse424 at any UT System university or health institution. The agreement, negotiated by the UT System Office of System-wide Information Services and UT Health Science Center San Antonio, provides the universities and medical centers in the UT System with the ability to obtain and implement Cayuse's automated system for proposal development.

The UT System has set strategic goals for increasing and enhancing research funding. Together, the nine universities and six health institutions in the UT System garner over $1.8 billion in annual research funding. The Cayuse solution provides a set of productivity tools to assist with the time-consuming and detailed process of preparing and submitting federal research proposals.

"Cayuse is gratified to be able to offer our solution to the schools in the UT System," said Christian Harker, president of Cayuse. "This agreement offers an extremely efficient model for the UT System to deploy Cayuse's solution to the researchers and research administrators working in the UT System."

With its flexible Web-hosted architecture, Cayuse424 will deploy to the specific UT System universities and health institutions as they are prepared to adopt it. The first scheduled adopters are the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio and UT San Antonio. They are joining UT Austin, which had adopted Cayuse424 in 2006.
