Overall, Cayuse is a great product and it has made our jobs easier. And hallelujah that NSF is going to Grants.gov and that Cayuse handles that too.
Cayuse424 Version 3.4 New Features
Subaward Import/ExportCayuse424 can import and export subawards.
Export: Subawards are exported from Cayuse424 and may be sent to any other Cayuse424 site that has the Subaward Import Module. All validations, calculations and formatting prepared in the subaward proposal of the originating site are contained in the export file and are available on the receiving site.
Import: With the Subaward Import Module in Cayuse424, subaward proposals are imported directly into the Proposal List or directly into the prime proposal itself with a few clicks. Subaward budget data flows automatically the prime budget, with no-retyping or manual calculations required. The import also handles indirect cost types from the subaward.
The Subaward Import Module also imports subaward proposals created on Subawards.com, Cayuse’s free Web-based service used by subcontractors to prepare subaward budgets and proposals.
Subaward RoutingSubawards can now be routed for approval using the routing and approval features of Cayuse424. Cayuse customers can set an Institutional Preference that requires export of subawards be contingent on AOR approval.
Proposal List DisplayThe proposal list clearly shows the subawards that are linked to a prime proposal. The prime proposal and its associated subawards are now treated as a single unit for display and sorting.
Validation EngineRoutine updates have been made to the validation engine to keep Cayuse424 current with funding agencies and Grants.gov.
Submit 2006 or 2007 ProposalsCayuse424 examines each opportunity and automatically submits associated proposals to the correct Grants.gov server, the 2007 server or the 2006 server (Adobe vs. PureEdge).
